Dales Canoe Club Membership 2024/2025

 

Membership is due in September each year, and the fees are outlined below:

• Adult (18+) £25

• Junior (under 18) £20

• Taster Sessions (3 x pool sessions) £30

 

In addition, there is a charge to access the pool-based sessions, which run from September to Easter at Starbeck Pool. These charges cover the cost of the pool hire and lifeguard cover and are paid in blocks that match the North Yorkshire school terms.

The cost of the pool sessions is £140 per term, payable in full in September and January. 

If this is prohibitive, the club may consider applications to split the termly fee into two half-termly payments of £70 or four monthly payments of £35. If you want to take advantage of this facility, please talk to one of the committee members.

For members joining mid-way through a term, these fees will be prorated to the number of sessions remaining.

The Club will not usually accept ad-hoc payments for pool sessions and expects members to commit to at least half a term's sessions.

 

Members joining after the taster sessions only need to pay their membership fees and any remaining pool sessions.

 

There may be a small charge for the river sessions to cover any borrowed equipment and to help with fuel for transporting the trailer. Details of this charge will be given closer to the start of the river sessions.

 

All payments should be made via bank transfer; a committee member can provide details.
